Pippa Brown
BSc (Hons), Lic. Ac., MBAcC
I developed an interest in medicine over fifteen years ago, initially starting training at Southampton medical school. However, as my interest in natural health grew, I decided to change direction and study Chinese medicine, graduating from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in 2012. I am especially interested in emotional and spiritual health and enjoy creating a healing space for people to deeply relax.
I spent six years co-running and treating from busy, low-cost, multi-bed clinics in Hove, Lewes, Moretonhampstead and Exeter where I gained extensive clinical experience before setting up private practices in Devon and Dorset. I have worked with a charity providing low-cost auricular acupuncture in Brighton and volunteered with an emergency acupuncture team providing auricular acupuncture for the Grenfell community.
I currently run private practices in Devon and East Sussex from The Practice Rooms in Exeter, Brighton and Hove. I practice an integrated approach combining five element, classical acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
I have diplomas in holistic therapies (massage, aromatherapy and reflexology), and in Tibetan moxibustion from The Shang Shung Institute, London.
I practice meditation and follow Tibetan Buddhist, Zen Buddhist and Daoist teachings and attend regular retreats. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the UK’s largest professional body for the practice of traditional acupuncture.
